DISCONNECT
Nashville, Tennessee

State Gallery (Fort Houston)
February 26th 2022 - March 19th 2022
Photos by Ashley Hurst

The theme of DISCONNECT is directly influenced by the last year of Joe's life – the constant desire to disconnect digitally, the disconnect from friends and family felt after relocating to Nashville after a decade in NYC, the disconnect felt socially when turning in to his practice, and the disconnect from the artist he feels like he needs to continue to be. DISCONNECT is an experiment and challenge in using the same tools, techniques, and materials as his large-scale installations, but on a smaller and more intimate scale.
